Die
Zeit der scheunen Funde (kleines Wortspiel ;-) scheint schon lange
vorbei zu sein. Doch ab und zu taucht doch noch Erstaunliches auf: Dieser
VW von 1950 zum Beispiel, inseriert auf thesamba.com als
„unmolested survivor“ (unverpfuschter Überlebender).
Der
originale schwarze Lack mag pickelig sein – aber wenigstens IST es
der originale Lack, mit dem der VW 1950 in Wolfsburg vom Band lief und seine Reise nach Schweden antrat. Sogar die Winker sitzen noch unberührt in ihren Schächten.

Der Schonbezug hielt lange genug durch, um die Originalpolster zu schützen.

Weitere Pluspunkte laut Inserat: Gut erhaltene
Innenausstattung durch Schonbezüge, alle Räder original, offenbar
ungeschweißt.
Der erwähnte Rost an der Unterseite des
Heizungskanals (eine Käfer-typische Schwachstelle) wird sich sicher
reparieren lassen, ohne beilackieren zu müssen. Ganz klar: dieser
Käfer kann, darf und muss so bleiben, wie er ist – oder seht ihr das anders?

This was to be a keeper but as a house build cost escalates im offering it for sale.
A very nice unrestored and mostly original paint 50 beetle.
All date matching original paint 16" wheels, original wings, nice doors, decklid and hood.
The interior is in really nice condition and has had seat covers on from new. Original upholstery showing through a couple of the tears in the seat covers. Lovely clean original headliner, you just cant replicate the original stuff inside these cars.
Superb dashboard with all original equipment.
Motor rebuilt at some point nad has a Swedish KDS rebuild code stamped onto it now.
Both grooved bumpers with correct overiders. One grooved and one non grooved semaphore.
Theres a little rust to the lower plate of heater channel but its not a lot for a car like this. Does not appear to have had any welding.
A really good car with so much potential.
